Park Pass

All skiers and riders are required to have a valid Park Pass in order to ride either chairlift at South to access the Terrain Park.

If you completed the Park Pass quiz last season you may exchange your old Park Pass for a 2012/2013 Park Pass at guest services.  If you need to take the quiz for the first time, read the rules below and follow the link at the bottom of the page.

In order to use the terrain park at Mountain Creek, it's important to know and understand the rules and safety guidelines for skiing or boarding a freestyle terrain park.

NOTE to parents: You should review the information on these pages if any child (under 18) that is under your control and/or supervision is planning to use the terrain park at South.

To qualify for a pass you must meet 3 minimum requirements:

STEP 1
Know the Rules:

Freestyle Terrain contains man-made and natural terrain variations.
Freestyle Terrain changes constantly due to weather and use.
Inspect Freestyle Terrain before using and throughout the day.
In jumping and using this terrain, you assume risk of serious injury.
Be courteous and respect others.
One user on a terrain feature at a time.
Never jump blindly-use a spotter when necessary. Look before you leap!
It is your responsibility to control your body on the ground and in the air.
Always clear the landing area quickly.
Always ride or ski in control and within your ability.
KNOW THE CODE - IT'S YOUR RESPONSIBILITY!

1. MAKE A PLAN
Every time you use freestyle terrain, make a plan for each feature you want to use. Your speed, approach and take off will directly affect your maneuver and landing.

2. LOOK BEFORE YOU LEAP
Scope around the jumps first, not over them. Know your landings are clear and clear yourself out of the landing area.

3. EASY STYLE IT
Start small and work your way up. (Inverted aerials not recommended).

4. RESPECT GETS RESPECT
From the lift line through the park.

STEP 2
Smart Style:
Watch the Smart Style Safety video.
The Smart Style video is hosted at www.terrainparksafety.org and is brought to you by the National Ski Areas Association (NSAA) & Burton.
